Our Mission - Operating Philosophy/Organization

The board members for the Jessie Bullens-Crewe Foundation are her parents, Cindy Bullens and Dan Crewe.

Dan Crewe is president of his own music management company in Cumberland, Maine, specializing in personal and business management for people in the music business. Dan, a United States Naval Academy graduate, has held various executive positions in music publishing and with record companies in both New York and Los Angeles. He married singer/songwriter Cindy Bullens, had two daughters Reid and Jessie Bullens-Crewe and moved from the New York area to Maine in 1991, where he founded Gateway Mastering Studios with mastering wizard, Bob Ludwig.

After Jessie's death, Crewe sold his interest in the studio and concentrated on community service, specifically for children's concerns.

Dan's community service includes sitting on various youth-oriented boards in the Portland, Maine area:

Cindy Bullens is a two-time Grammy nominee and acclaimed singer/songwriter who's career has spanned 25 years. Her early work included singing and touring with Elton John, singing three lead vocals on the Grease movie soundtrack, and recording her own albums. She married Dan Crewe and chose to start a family, with daughter Reid arriving in 1982. Cindy bowed out of the music business until 1989 when she decided to record another album and started writing songs for other artists.

After her 11 year-old daughter Jessie's death in 1996, Cindy found herself writing songs in her grief about her love for Jessie and the horrible loss of this child. Her CD "Somewhere Between Heaven and Earth" (released in 1999) has received accolades from every corner of the United States - both from the music business and from the public. She has appeared on many radio and television shows and is now performing around the country.

Cindy has lectured and performed at various organizations including:
